Riverfront Fitness is back!

People lined up on boardwalk practicing yoga

Riverfront Fitness is back! Friends of the River Kansas City and Port KC are excited to offer a fun way to combine exercise and community on the beautiful Missouri Riverfront.

Riverfront Fitness takes your workout outdoors with hour-long sessions led by expert local instructors. Last year, yoga was the most popular class with about 80 to 100 participants per class. In response, an additional yoga class has been added to the rotating schedule. KC Physiques returns with Team Fitness, and a new class taught by City Gym joins the mix.

Classes run May through September from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and follow a regular schedule each month:

  • First Wednesday is Karma Tribe Yoga on May 2, June 6, August 1 and September 5: Karma Tribe Yoga offers an all-levels Vinyasa flow class. Accessible for newbies, but still challenging for experienced yoga practitioners. Challenge your mind, body, and spirit in a fun and engaging course.
  • Second Wednesday is City Gym: May 9, May 24*, June 13, July 11, August 8 and September 12: All levels health and fitness course.
  • Third Thursday is KC Yoga Center: May 12, June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20: All levels flow class. Students will learn innovative movement in a supportive environment.
  • Fourth Thursday is Zone6 Fitness: June 28, July 26, August 23 and September 27: Zone6 Fitness will be taking participants through a fun, high energy workout suitable for all fitness levels. Including HIIT training and core work to ramp up that heart rate and burn fat!

Classes are free to attend, but participants must register online. For more information and updates, follow the Riverfront Fitness Facebook page or visit the Friends of the River and Berkley Riverfront websites.
